How do you fix most problems with conventional toner cartridges?

Posted by jose diaz on

The most common failure of the toner cartridge is usually due to problems with the drum unit. There are several problems that can occur your ability to print, but the good thing is that they can all be easily fixed.

First, make sure that the printer is turned on and connected to your computer. If someone has changed your settings, you may have a problem.

These are many of the problems with toner and drum units, as well as the clues that signs need to look for on the printed page.

A high quality generic toner cartridge should have none of the flaws, so often cheap and poorly manufactured toners have several flaws due to poor manufacturing techniques.

Most common problems with the printer cartridge

The ink cartridge cannot be detected: Hp printers often receive an undetected error.  And receiving one of these messages can be very frustrating, the error "cartridge(s) not detected". The problem can occur for a number of reasons, and the simplest solution is this:

  • Remove ALL cartridges from the printer.
  • Turn off the printer on the wall and leave it turned off for at least 20 minutes.
  • Turn the power back on on the wall.
  • Turn on the printer and reinsert ALL inks.

Poor print quality, lines or blank page: The only thing that causes this is that the print head is partially clogged.

This is often the case with Epson and Brother printers. If your printer cartridge is the cause of these printing problems, try placing it in another printer with a working toner cartridge.

If it works on the other printer, the problem can be fixed on the first printer. However, if the cartridge works the same on both printers, it may be time to replace it.

Bad Images Color: The main reason is that either the ink cartridge has been installed without removing the vent tape from the top of the cartridge, or a partially blocked print head.

Once you have isolated the problem color or colors, you can check that the tape has been completely removed or continue with a clean maintenance printhead.

Ink leaking from the cartridge: This problem often occurs because compatible cartridges are poorly designed.

Ink often leaks into the printer and will not be detected until the next cartridge change when it leaks.

Printhead Error Message: The printhead is the most sensitive part of the printer when a problem occurs when your printer is several years old.

The only solution is to remove all cartridges, remove the printhead, clean it and all electrical contacts, and then reinsert it.

Handle it with care: your compatible toner must be handled with special care, especially the surface of the drum.

Never touch this part with bare hands. After use, place your empty toner cartridge in a pouch and donate it to recycling programs.
